On the afternoon of June 1, 2018, accompanied by leaders of Zhengzhou and Dengfeng, nearly 20 ambassadors in China from Venezuela, Uruguay, Cuba, Panama and other countries visited Shaolin Temple.

Under the instruction of the Abbot Yongxin, the delegation visited halls, architecture, inscription and other cultural heritage of Shaolin Temple Permanent Residence Compound successively. In front of the Mountain Gate Hall, the Abbot Yongxin introduce the situations that Shaolin Temple carries out cultural exchanges home and abroad to the ambassadors in China; in front of “the Monument of Huang Tang Song Yue Shaolin Temple”, the Abbot Yongxin introduced the development of Shaolin monks in Tang Dynasty to everyone as well as the story that “the thirteen martial arts monks saved the Emperor in Tang Dynasty”; in front of “the Monument of San Jiao Jiu Liu Tu Zan Bei”, the Abbot Yongxin described Shaolin Temple’s cultural traits are harmony, inclusive and compounded.

In front of the Abbot Hall, the guests watched Shaolin Kungfu performance. When Shaolin Kungfu including Shaolin Boxing, Shaolin One Finger Pointing up and China's Pictographic Boxing, etc. appeared on the stage wonderfully, the ambassadors gave them an enthusiastic applause.

When parting, the delegation of ambassadors of Uruguay expressed thanks for Shaolin Temple’s warm reception. The ambassador of Uruguay said that “Shaolin culture, not only to China, but also to the world’s cultural development, has made a great contribution.
