At 2 p.m. local time of Oct.14th ,2014,the culture forum between Buddhism and Christian  ,the final activity of the third International Shaolin Culture Festival was held ceremoniously in the St John's College of Oxford University.
In the forum,Ven.Abbot Shi Yongxin,the Dean of Insititute for Advanced Humanistic Studies,PKU,Tu Wei-ming,Oxford University professor Alister McGrath and Dr.Canon Brian Mountford,Cardiff University professor Max Deeg made speeches successively.They brought a wonderful cultural feast for students at the Oxford University and other participants.Professor Tu Wei-ming host the forum.

Professor Alister McGrath thought,only dialogue mode is the best mode of communication.Not for reaching an agreement ,but for setting up a bridge of communication to solve the common problems.
Ven.Abbot Shi Yongxin introduced the the connotation and characteristics of Shaolin culture on the topic of the spirit cultivation and practice wisdom in the 21 century.
Both of Canon Brian Mountford and Max Deeg thought that it was not only necessary but also important to have a dialogue between Buddhism and Christianity .
In the following 30 minutes Q&A session, the students' positive questions and the keen and humorous response of the lecturers made the lecture atmosphere to a climax.
