To carry forward Shaolin culture, the California Senate and House respectively voted in 2004 and 2009 to approve the Songshan Shaolin Temple Festival on March 21 annually when various celebrations could be conducted. To mark the special day, series of activities, hosted by the Shaolin Temple Cultural Center of California and co-shouldered by the United States Kung Fu Federation、Shaolin Temple Cultural Center USA、Shaolin Warrior Academy、U.S. Kung Fu Center、Shaolin Temple Kung Fu Center、Shaolin Kungfu Yuan、MA-Trainer Studio and Shaolin Kungfu Chan Academy, were held aiming to make more locals understand Shaolin culture of Chan Wu Yi with a history of thousands of years benefiting physical and mental health and promote Shaolin culture’ s spread and development in local areas.

The celebrations covered Shaolin Kungfu performances, experiencing Shaolin Chan Gong, Shaolin regimen and other colorful contents, which offered an opportunity for locals to comprehensively feel the charm of Shaolin culture. It was hoped the event could further boost Shaolin culture laying the roots in locals and integrating into local communities to make more people benefit from it and improve physical and mental health.
