On April, 19, 2021, 72 Shaolin Kungfu practitioners from around the country joyfully gathered in Shaolin Temple, the holy land of Chan Wu. The 5th training courses of Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin system (junior stage) were successfully completed through a 4-day systematic theory and technique training and examination.
The 5th training courses of the Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin system (junior stage) opened on Apr. 16, 2021. More than 60 Shaolin Kungfu practitioners from all over the country gathered in Shaolin Temple, the holy land of Chan Wu, launching their rise in rank or progress journey for the Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin system.
67 Shaolin Kungfu practitioners from across the country completed the assessment of the Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin system (the junior stage) successfully through a 4-day systemic training in theory and technique from Nov. 7 to 11, 2020. The 4th training course of Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin System (the junior stage) completed their course successfully on the morning of Nov. 11. Venerable Master Shi Yongxin issued the corresponding certificate to the students in front of the Abbot Hall. 62 students gained the 3rd stage certificate, 3 the 2nd stage certificate and 2 the 1st stage certificate among them.
On August 29, 2020, the third training course of the junior period for the Shaolin Duanpin System was held in Songhuang Sports Town in Dengfeng city. A total of 120 Shaolin Kungfu practitioners gathered under the Shaoshi Mountain, systemically learning Shaolin culture and regulating Shaolin Kungfu skill moves of the junior period meanwhile they will take part in review and evaluation and authentication of the Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin System as well as receive the corresponding certificate issued by abbot Yongxin on Sept. 1. Shi Yongxin, abbot of Shaolin Temple, Zheng Shumin, office director of the Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin Committee, Master Yanpei, abbot of Northern Panshan Shaolin Temple in Tianjin and so on attended the opening ceremony.
From July 1 to 5, 2020, 139 Shaolin Kungfu practitioners from around the country successfully completed the assessment of the Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin system (the junior stage )through systematically theoretical and technical training. On July 5, 139 Shaolin Kungfu gainers for the junior stage wore corresponding badges and belts, lined up and accepted the corresponding certificates issued by abbot Shi Yongxin in front of the Abbot Hall.
Shaolin Kungfu is the first group of the intangible cultural heritage in our country and a part of the traditional Chinese culture, much loved by the whole nation. Shaolin Kungfu is increasingly approved and loved by people all over the world through promotion and propagation abroad over decades. According to incomplete statistics, more than millions of people all over the world study Shaolin Kungfu. To better inherit Shaolin Kungfu and serve human health and make people loving Shaolin Kungfu study Shaolin Kungfu systematically and scientifically, master Shi Yongxin, abbot of Shaolin Temple, organized related monks and experts and scholars to jointly study it in depth and repeatedly discuss it to roll out The Tutorial Series on the Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin System.
As the evaluation criteria for Shaolin Kungfu practitioners, The Tutorial Series on the Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin System aims to establish a standardized and normalized Shaolin Kungfu Duanpoin technique system, to promote the propagation of Shaolin Kungfu at home and abroad and realize the goal of carrying forward excellent traditional Chinese culture and serving the health of people around the world. According to the tutorial series’ standard, Shaolin Temple is open to Shaolin disciples and enthusiasts from around the world, and orderly promotes the Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin system’ s dan grading awarding work.
The Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin system includes dan, grading and honour ranking. Dan and grading respectively including 9 levels. Each of grading includes three levels again. Both dan and grading awarding have the strict evaluation criteria of theory and technology. The evaluation agency of the Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin system will issue or award the corresponding certificate, badge, belt and clothes after the applicant passing the exam.
