At half past four P.M.on the afternoon of November 7th,a delegation of nine persons visited Shaolin Temple and warmly welcomed by Ven.Abbot Yongxin .They were Gen.Chetta Thanajaro, the former defence minister of Thailand,the army chief,the chairman of China-Thailand Industrial and Commercial Association ,the president of World Thailand Boxing Association ,Mrs.Amara Tanawat,the vice chairman of China-Thailand Industrial and Commercial Association,Mr. Pradit Boonkird,the secretary-general of China-Thailand Industrial and Commercial Association,Mr.Sorachai Kaewnop,the chief financial officer of China-Thailand Industrial and Commercial Association and so on.Accompanied by masters in Shaolin Temple,Gen.Chetta Thanajaro and his party visited Shaolin Temple with great interest and were filled with admiration for over-one-thousand-year Shaolin Culture.

Exchange gifts with each other

In the abbot's quarters ,Ven.Abbot Yongxin and Gen.Chetta Thanajaro had a pleasant conversation.Gen.Chetta Thanajaro introduced the current development of Thai Buddhism and Thai boxing and talked about the cultural exchange between China and Thailand.He mentioned that it would be the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand and he sincerely invited Ven.Abbot Yongxin to attend the celebration.

Ven.Abbot Yongxin introduced the historical and cultural heritage of Shaolin Temple ,the development of Shaolin Temple and emphatically introduced three Shaolin Cultural Festival held in  Europe and North America since 2012.He also hoped that Thailand delagation can come to Shaolin Temple for cultural exchange .Through a variety of cultural exchanges ,they can promote the friendship between China and Thailand.

At the end of the meeting,they present gifts to each other and took group photo in the  abbot's quarters.
